CD Babyface: April 2010. Finally the videos are fit to look at - check them out! And all our albums are now available at E-Tailers: iTunes, amazon.com, napster.com and cdbaby.com, et al. (Your mileage may vary depending what country you are in and which service you employ - e.g. Amazon only sells mp3 music to U.S. customers, so far. But the good folks at both cdbaby.com and iTunes deliver to all eight remaining official planets in the solar system!)

So if you're among the legions who have been trying to get their hands on the first three Figgy Duff albums, you can buy the digital download versions. Yay! (Although we're still temporarily out of stock of the compact disc versions. Boo!)

And our album pages now have one-click links to iTunes. Convenience is our middle name. Amber 'Convenience' Music, that's us. You can call us Amber. We've also built a Facebook artist page, a YouTube channel and some rather fetching Amazon pages.

Fan us at Facebook's Figgy Duff Artist Page. (We're startin to get right grand.)
The YouTube Channel is fun too. (we want more video, and we shall have it!)

Enjoy! - send us a message - join our e-Mail list - or just friend us!

And please tell us if any of this stuff isn't working for you. (Or tell us if it is!)

The cat is pissing me off: It's late March. The winter is dragging on, and we all want to be outside, digging in the dirt. Octavia (the cat) spends most of her time either on the kitchen table or howling at me for something (different) to eat. She loves the new leatherette chairs and is systematically leaving her claw marks all over them.
So where does the time go? I notice (and if you've been on this page, you will have too,) that four years have passed since we first posted our optimistic proclamation that we were putting the catalogue up for digital downloads.
Well, then life intervened. Among other things, we spent two years struggling through an audit by Revenue Canada, trying to figure out where we were going to go if we lost our house- trying to come to grips with the unfairness of it all, raging against the machine, searching for the serenity to accept the things we could not change. Also in that time I was turned down by every arts granting organization there was; the final straw came when the local music industry association told me I wasn't "export ready" (See international licensing section at: http://www.pamelamorgan.ca/cds.htm)
So I said f*** this anyway. I had heard about a federal program which trains unemployable adults on government dime, and my mother had always said that a change was as good as a rest, so I swallowed my pride, jumped through all their hoops, and went to school to study graphic design.
So here we are in our work term. My work term is at Amber Music, and my fantastic classmate Andrea Short is here too; as well as Andre Wall and our friend Sean O'Brien. Together we have been tackling all things digital, organizing the office, updating the website, and, ladies and gentlemen, FINALLY every one of our titles is now available for digital download from CD Baby (cdbaby.com), and the iTunes music store, and most every other digital download outlet. Soon we will have the album graphics and lyrics available on this site for download as well, and when everything is ready, we will be letting everyone know.
We are compiling a mailing list; do you want to be on it? We promise not to sell Viagra, and we won't be looking for investment partners for the first cousin of the deposed queen of Muldavia, and we do not traffic in Russian brides. We will let you know if anything is happening in Amber world; there won't be lots, but you'll be the first to know. Go to "join our mailing list" on the home page- we'd love to include you.
And we will try (no promises) to keep the website up to date- people keep telling us to join facebook- (I wondered about arsebook, but it's been done already). That might happen sometime, for the sake of marketing, you see- although geezers like us are still kind of protective over our privacy. We'll see.
Thanks for the visit,
Pamela
P.S. This past weekend, Anita Best and I sang together at the March Hare in Corner Brook. It was the first time in literally years, and it was wonderful. There is still some magic, and my mother was right.
